Our startup aims to solve the problem of unsatisfactory personalization methods used by apps like TripAdvisor. Currently, 60.5% of users express dissatisfaction with the way their preferences are personalized on the platform. TripAdvisor relies on two main factors for personalization: user history and in-app surveys. However, research indicates that only 14% of users actually fill out these surveys, resulting in a significant proportion of users feeling underserved by the current approach. Our startup seeks to address this gap by developing more effective and user-friendly personalization methods that better cater to the needs and preferences of TripAdvisor users.
intrip is a search engine that allows users to find desired locations to travel based on their social media. The neural network analyses each post and highlights of the user on their social media like Instagram and Facebook. Depending on these results, the algorithm finds the best possible matches - places (sports activities, museums, restaurants).
