AMACHAN is a platform that offers transparency and flexibility in data collection for social participation and urban planning. It provides transparency to data collection analysis and flexibility to create different research instruments. Through our initiative, we are aiming to promote better social involvement in the phases of planning, design, and maintenance of the development of cities. AMACHAN intends to be a mediator between citizens and decision-makers using digital technologies as a support system.

As lack of trust is a recurrent problem in urban participation, we provided a space where citizens can contribute, feel heard and consult the results of the project in which they participated. AMACHAN provides a flexible solution to include citizens' insight into city planning by giving transparency to those citizens on how their feedback is used.
